In an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the Municipal Chief Executive of Jaman South Municipal Assembly Andrews Bediako said, the donation forms part of the Assembly’s efforts to deal with desks deficit in basic schools in the municipality.

“We have a desk deficit in most of our basic schools in the municipality and so this donation is the several steps by the Assembly towards dealing with the deficit so that our pupils will get seats to sit on”.

“This donation will not be the last because we will continue to support in every regard to ensure that education in the municipality is improved upon for our children to have the best of education for a brighter future”.

Mr. Bediako assured that the Assembly will continue to support the Directorate to ensure effective teaching and learning in the municipality and also charged the Directorate to ensure proper usage of the desks.

The MCE revealed that the donation shows the Assembly’s seriousness to deal with the desk deficit in basic schools.
