Assembly hands over documents for a new classroom block

In order to improve the standard of Early Childhood Education in the District, the Assembly member for Sabegu electoral area Hon. Amadu Seidu in the Tolon District and the Chief Executive of the area Alhaj Fuseini Salifu Moshi had supervised and monitored sight inspection and handing over of documents plan for the construction of a six- unit classroom block for the people in his area.

The six unit classroom block at Tolon D/A primary school will come with staff common room, store room, headmaster’s office, a 12-seater toilet facility and a mechanized borehole to serve the school and the area at large.

 

The DCE said the success of every child begins from the foundation hence the facility will go a long way to improve upon teaching and learning and also develop the hygienic conditions of the child. He added that, when the child is given a better foundation, there is hope that, that particular child will grow up well and become a prominent person in future.

 

The Assembly man further revealed that, the Assembly has instructed the contractor to engage the services of the local people by employing 70% of its workers from the community in which the project was located in order to serve as Employment Avenue to the youth.

 

He also appealed to the Chief and the Elders as well as the community members to act as supervisors in order to have a well completed project when work commences. He also pledges to work hand in hand and always assures his availability when needed for the smooth and successful execution of the project.

 

The people expressed their sincere gratitude to the DCE, Engineers, contractors and the Tolon District Assembly for this project and wish its commencement soon to enable work finished on time.
