Assembly cuts sod for key health and education projects

The Mfantseman Municipal Assembly has taken a bold step towards improving healthcare and education infrastructure, with the cutting of sod for four major projects funded by the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF).

Led by Municipal Chief Executive Eric Stanley Acquah, the ceremony marks the official start of construction works. Contractors have already mobilized to sites, signaling swift progress on these community focused initiatives.

The projects include construction of a fully furnished CHPS Compound with Nurses’ quarters at Amissakrom, construction of a fully furnished CHPS Compound with Nurses’ quarters at Baifikrom, 11 mechanized boreholes across the municipality to enhance water access, and a 6-Unit Classroom Block with ancillary facilities at Towoboase-Abankrom.

 “These developments aim to bolster primary healthcare delivery, provide safe drinking water, and expand educational opportunities in underserved areas the MCE added”.

He therefore emphasized the assembly's commitment to responsive governance, stating that the projects align with the municipality's development agenda.

Residents expressed optimism, with local leaders hailing the initiatives as transformative for community well being.
