Kingsley Osei confirmed as Ejura Sekyedumasi mce
The President’s nominee for the Municipality, Mr.Kingsley Osei has been confirmed as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) after 80.3% of the Assembly Members voted yes at a Special Assembly meeting held on Thursday, 30th September, 2021 at the Baptist Retreat Center, Ejura.

The Ejura Municipal Assembly has 62 Assembly Members, out of which 61 were present and voted at the Special Meeting. At the end of a very smooth and peaceful election, 49 voted yes, 11 voted no and 1 rejected ballot representing 80.3% win for Mr. Osei.
The election was supervised by the Municipal Electoral Officer, Ms. Faustina Wiafe and her team.
Mr. Kingsley Osei, who himself is a former Assembly member in his acceptance speech expressed his gratitude to the President, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo for his nomination and also thanked the Assembly Members for the confidence reposed in him.
He promised to work his heart out to deliver people centered policies for the development of the Municipality. He called on the municipality “to divorce all their difference and warfare and marry peace” to shame the “devil”.

He added that the development of the Municipality was a collective responsibility and not a one-man show and therefore called on all well meaning people to put all hands on deck. He assured Nananom and the Clergy that he would be very expectant of their support and prayers for a successful tenure.
The occasion was graced by Nananom, the Member of Parliament for the constituency, Alhaji Braimah Bawa, Imams, the Ashanti Region Women’s Organizer of the NPP, Nana Ama Ampomah who represented the Regional Minister, former MCEs, Security Heads and personnel, Heads of Department of the Assembly, party folks among others.
Prior to the election, Nanamon, the Imams, the MP, the former MCE, the Presiding Member and all the other speakers congratulated Dr. Osei for his nomination and admonished the Assembly members to vote yes shorten the process and speed up the development of the Municipality.
