Transition team to be inaugurated by Wednesday December 11, 2024

The government in collaboration with the president-elect, John Dramani Mahama is set to inaugurate the transitional team by Wednesday December 11, 2024.

President John Dramani Mahama announced this at his office when he addressed party faithfuls and the nation few hours after he was declared the president elect in the 2024 General election.

He commended the Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for his statesmanship in conceding defeat long ahead of the Electoral Commission’s declaration, a decision that doused the political tension in the atmosphere.

He also disclosed that he has also received a call from the president of the republic, Nana Akuffo Addo congratulating him during which they both discussed matters related to the joint transitional team.

“We agreed on an early inauguration of the joint transitional team as early as Wednesday the 11th of December. I conveyed my sincerest regard to him, and expressed my readiness for us to work together to ensure a smooth transition in the best interest of the Ghanaian people.
