The proposed project is expected to enhance commercial activity and strengthen the economic vitality of the township upon completion.

The meeting, held in the presence of Paramount Chief Nene Tetteh Waka III, focused on the project’s scope, site location, technical specifications and implementation timeline. During the engagement, the DCE sought the support and cooperation of the Traditional Authority in line with customary and administrative procedures.

Hon. Nartey disclosed that the contractor is expected to move to site soon and appealed to current occupants of the land, including station drivers and traders, to relocate their activities to pave the way for construction works.

The delegation from the Ningo Prampram District Assembly included the Coordinating Director, Madam Vida Awuku, the District Works Engineer, the District Physical Planning Officer, the District Development Planner and other technical officers of the Assembly.

Representatives from key stakeholder groups also attended the meeting, including the Ghana Private Road Transport Union, the Prampram Market Women Association and Dangme Rural Bank, whose existing car park falls within the boundaries of the proposed market site.

Discussions centered on land use arrangements, traffic and access management, resettlement measures for affected stakeholders, as well as coordination plans for both the construction and operational phases of the project.

The engagement concluded with the Traditional Council acknowledging the significance of the initiative to local economic development, while both parties reaffirmed their commitment to sustained collaboration, information sharing and effective dispute resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
