Sharing her expectations in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the soft-spoken MCE said she was hoping for a peaceful election across all polling centres in the country.
As the chairperson of the Municipal Security Council (MUSEC), she emphasized her readiness and that of various security personnel in the municipality to deal with people who will cause mayhem before, during and after the elections.
“To the youth of Tema West, nobody should deceive you to run and chase ballot boxes. When you will be arrested and arraigned before court.
“Just go and cast your vote and come home, come back to the collation centre after 5pm, peacefully it is counted. It’s as simple as that. As the head of security in Tema West, I will make sure that orderliness and peace adhered to in the municipality especially during the election period.”, the MCE stated.
Touching on the outcome of the election, Hon. Attipoe predicted a landslide victory for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to her, the Akufo-Addo led administration has put the country on the right track with significant development in various aspects of the economy to warrant a third successive victory for the NPP.
She therefore charged party faithful to continuously rally behind the party to ensure victory come December 7th general elections.
