Save A Soul Foundation celebrates Christmas with Congo Community
Save a Soul Foundation, a non-governmental organization joined the people of Congo a predominantly farming community in the Atebubu-Amantin municipality to celebrate this year’s Christmas.

The NGO provided food and drinks to about 300 children with a number of girls receiving sanitary pads in addition whiles the women also went home with assorted clothing.
According to the founder of the NGO, Mr. Michael Clottey, Christmas stands for peace, love and unity which he described as key to the development of society.
Quoting from the book of Mathew chapter 25 versus 42 to 45, Mr. Clottey stressed the importance of each person being their neighbor’s keeper especially children.
He said children are a gift from God of whom parents will account to the almighty and urged them to take good care of their wards.
Mr. Clottey drew the attention of the children to the fifth of the 10 commandments and urged them to honor their parents by leading a Christ-like life in order to become good adults in future to help in the development of their communities and the country as a whole.
He asked the children to take their studies seriously asking the girls especially to avoid promiscuity in order to be able to reach their potentials in future.
Mr. Clottey used the opportunity to take the people through the causes, effects and control of cholera and demonstrated the use of a simple hand washing device called ‘tippy tap’. He urged each household to endeavor to construct one to facilitate frequent hand washing in the community. He also asked them to boil their drinking water to help curb the onset of the disease.
Whiles expressing his foundations desire to further support the community especially in the provision of potable drinking water, Mr. Clottey thanked their benefactors for their support and urged potential partners and donors to reach the foundation on its dedicated line 0539245242.
The ‘Odikro’ of the community Nana Kwame Boateng thanked the NGO for the gesture which he said has brought smiles on the faces of his people during the yuletide.
The beneficiaries who could not hide their joy expressed their gratitude to the foundation whiles dancing to the tune of traditional music to round up a joyous Christmas day.
