Bogoso Fire Station now commissioned

Ribbons have been cut to officially commission the Minerals Development Funded (MDF) Bogoso Fire Station in the Prestea Huni-Valley Municipality.

According to Municipal Chief Executive of the area Dr. Isaac Dasmani, the project was finished on schedule and will help save lives and property in the event of a fire in Bogoso.

During the ceremony on Friday, November 29, 2024, Dr. Dasmani also recalled how many fire outbreaks have occurred in Bogoso since he was appointed MCE, resulting in property losses.

He stated that this would no longer be the case since the fire station will help solve solutions on time.

The Divisional Chief of Bogoso, Nana Akwasi Sompreh II, thanked the Chief Fire Officer for taking the time to consider this project, which was originally intended to be just a training school.

The chief advised the residents not to attack the officers when they believe they have been negligent in carrying out their mandate, but rather to work together for the common good.

The Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Mr. Julius Kuunuor said "this facility will enable us to respond to emergencies faster, more effectively, and more efficiently."

"The GNFS would like to assure the people of Bogoso and all stakeholders that through the dedication and hard work of our personnel, this station will be a beacon of excellence, delivering faster and more professional services to protect lives and property in the community and surrounding environs" he added.
