Kofiase road under construction
Kofiase is the largest community within Ash Mampong municipality with numerous farmers plying their trade in diverse ways.

Most farmers cultivates crops like cassava, plantain, yam, maize and to just mention few in large quantities and it has been considered as one of the food basket community for the inhabitants of Ashanti Region .
Traditionally, Fridays has been observed to be the busiest day for the residents of the town especially traders that troop to the town to do business.
Initially on market days people from length and breadth of the country were moving to the place to ply their trade until arm robbers started pestering them. This attacks has really cut down the size of the market.
Another headache to the traders and farmers is the road network from Mampong to Kofiase.
The bad nature of the road network normally attract high lorry fares from drivers and that also deepens the wounds of the passengers that ply the road.
But now, Ghanadistricts.com can confidently state that the error of worries of farmers around Kofiase and traders that move to the place to do business on market days will soon come to an end.
The aforementioned road network is seeing a tremendous positive change as it is being rehabilitated at a very fasts pace.
Speaking to the MCE of the area, Hon Thomas Appiah Kubi, he explained that, the buzzard nature of the road has been there since time in memorial and it has remained his major headache until he finally had the green light from the Ministry of Roads and Highway that the aforementioned road had be awarded to a contractor for resurfacing.
He also eulogized the President for adhering to his plead and also took time to acknowledge the efforts of some key stakeholders for supporting his vision.
