A high-powered inspection team led by the District Chief Executive, Ignatius Godfred Dordoe, and the Coordinating Director, Eunice Korankye, toured the project site together with heads of departments and the project engineer to assess the ongoing works.
The renovation project, supervised by Mahmud Habib, is introducing several modern features designed to enhance security, functionality, and the overall working environment at the Assembly.
Among the key upgrades are a modern glass reception area, installation of nine CCTV cameras, an electronic access card entrance system, air-conditioning units, ceiling fans, and an upgraded conference room fitted with a projector for meetings and presentations.
The project will also preserve the Assembly’s institutional history through the display of portraits of past District Chief Executives within the conference room.
In addition, the renovation includes covered drainage systems with rain harvesters, water storage tanks, a pump system, expanded parking spaces, washing bays for official vehicles, and fenced walls to improve security and aesthetics.
A dedicated event and training space is also being incorporated into the design to support public engagements, workshops, and community programmes within the Assembly premises.
Speaking during the inspection, Hon. Ignatius Godfred Dordoe commended the contractor and engineering team for the quality and pace of work, stressing that the upgraded office complex would create a more professional environment for effective public administration.
The Coordinating Director also expressed satisfaction with the progress of work and noted that the completed project would significantly improve operational efficiency and access to services for residents.
The project engineer assured management that all remaining works would be completed according to specification and within the expected timeline before final handover.
The Assembly indicated that the renovation forms part of broader efforts to strengthen local governance infrastructure and improve public service delivery within the Shai-Osudoku District.
