The facility was constructed by a philanthropist and the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Women’s Organizer, Madam Kate Gyamfua, in collaboration with “The Village Girl Foundation”.

The facility offers a range of services, including general consultation, Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) services, ultrasound, emergency services, radiology, and laboratory services.

The new polyclinic is a fully furnished 60-bed ward and comprises a rehabilitated and equipped medical laboratory, advanced modern medical equipment and supplies and it’s an upgrade of an existing health centre in the community.

Dr. Winfred K. Ofosu, the Eastern Regional Director of Health commended the NPP Women’s Organiser for her outstanding contribution and encouraged health workers to uphold a strong culture of maintenance.

He also appealed to the chiefs and residents to help secure affordable accommodation for health workers posted to the town

Madam Gyemfua expressed her appreciation to the people of the community for their continuous support.

She explained that, having hailed from the community and climbed to political and business leadership, she felt a deep obligation to give back, hence her decision to build the facility.
