Krachi West Assembly's revenue fell short of target
The Krachi West District Assembly generated GH¢14,579 at the end of June 2009, representing 18.5 percent of a revenue target of GH¢78,703.00.

It however mobilised GH¢43,776.00 within the same period in 2008, representing 52.6 percent of a targeted revenue of GH¢66,148.00.
Mr Moses Kwame Ponye, Krachi West District Chief Executive disclosed this at a four-day general meeting at Kete-Krachi and called on the assembly to re-strategise and redouble its efforts to improve on the mobilization of their Internally Generated Fund (IGF).
He said the splendid performance of 2008 resulted from permit fees charged MTN for erecting four new masts in the district, as well as property rates from corporate institutions.
Mr Ponye said an amount of GH¢134,809 had been received after statutory deductions as its first tranche of the District Assemblies Common Fund.
He said the assembly's indebtedness to its development partners stood at GH¢260,000 and mentioned the institutions as the Community-Based
Rural Development Project, World Vision Ghana, Community Water and Sanitation Agency, Rural Enterprise Project and Afram Plains Development Organisation.
Mr Patrick K. Bulator, Presiding Member of the Assembly, appealed to management to furnish members with documents on projects, contract sum and time schedules of completion to enable them to monitor them.
He said the District Assembly's concept was non-partisan and solicited the co-operation of members for effective and transparent administration.
