Kwahu West Commissions Ultra-Modern KG Block and Small-Town Water System at Kokrompe

The Kwahu West Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region has commissioned an ultra-modern Kindergarten (KG) block at Asuboni Rails (Kokrompe), together with a small-town water system, as part of efforts to improve basic education and access to potable water in the community.

The newly commissioned KG facility is equipped with a sickbay, dining area, washrooms, dressing room and other essential learning facilities, providing young learners with a safe and conducive environment for their early education.

The project was delivered through a partnership involving the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly, Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) and the National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG), demonstrating the importance of collaboration in advancing local development.

A small-town water system was also commissioned to provide potable water to households through a pipeline network. The facility is expected to improve access to safe drinking water and reduce the challenges residents face in accessing potable water.

The Assembly expressed appreciation to Nananom, the Canadian High Commission, FCM, NALAG, the Education Directorate, Assembly Members, teachers, parents, contractors, Assembly staff, the media and the people of Kokrompe for their contributions towards the successful completion of the projects.

The interventions are expected to improve the quality of life of residents while creating better conditions for children to learn and communities to thrive.

The Kwahu West Municipal Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to delivering development projects that respond directly to the needs of residents and contribute to the socio-economic development of the Kwahu West Municipality.
