The initiative, implemented under the DCE’s Free School Initiatives Programme, is aimed at removing financial barriers to education and giving deserving pupils the opportunity to achieve their academic ambitions.
The support package covers full tuition fees, school uniforms, books and other essential educational and boarding items, including trunks, chop boxes, mattresses, pillows, provisions, sponges, soaps and cash prizes.
The intervention is expected to ease the financial burden on beneficiary families while ensuring that the pupils have the necessary resources to support their education and personal development.
Hon. Ahinakwa used the occasion to encourage parents and pupils to take education seriously and make effective use of the support to achieve academic success.
Parents present expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the DCE, noting that the initiative had significantly reduced their financial burden and provided renewed hope for their children's educational future.
The programme reflects the District Assembly’s commitment to promoting access to education, supporting talented pupils from less privileged backgrounds and investing in the development of the next generation.
Through the Free School Initiatives Programme, the DCE seeks to ensure that financial challenges do not prevent deserving children in the district from pursuing their educational dreams.
