According to the DCE, Ankomah completed his Junior High School education at Old Edubiase JHS and proceeded to Opoku Ware Senior High School, where he completed his studies in 2024 with outstanding grades.

However, financial difficulties prevented him from proceeding to the university after completing senior high school.

Hon. Ogbeh said the intervention was intended to remove the financial barriers confronting the student and enable him to achieve his academic aspirations.

He explained that the package would cover his educational expenses, including tuition fees, hostel accommodation, learning materials and a monthly stipend.

Describing Ankomah’s situation as exceptional, the DCE expressed his personal commitment to supporting the student’s academic journey and urged him to remain focused, disciplined and dedicated to his studies.

Hon. Ogbeh further disclosed that the Assembly had disbursed a total of GH¢220,000 in educational assistance to various individuals over the past year as part of efforts to promote access to education and support students facing financial challenges.

He reaffirmed his commitment to expanding the initiative to advance the district’s educational development agenda and provide opportunities for deserving students.

Other beneficiaries also received support under the initiative. Simon Mawutor Aglago, a Level 300 student at the University of Cape Coast, received GH¢2,500 to support his education.

Berechich Bimpong, a student of Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School, also received boarding items to support his education.

The initiative underscores the Assembly’s commitment to supporting students and reducing financial barriers to education in the Adansi North District.
