The donation followed appeals and formal requests from senior high and technical schools in the constituency for support to expand their dormitory facilities and address accommodation challenges facing students.

Mr Kpotosu said the intervention was aimed at improving students’ comfort, dignity and general welfare by providing a more conducive environment for rest and learning.

He described education as the bedrock of national development and reaffirmed his commitment to initiatives that promote effective teaching and learning, as well as student welfare. He noted that decent accommodation could motivate students to pursue academic excellence and prepare them for responsible leadership.

The MP said Ziavi SHTS was the first beneficiary of the initiative, assuring other schools in the Ho Central Constituency that had made similar requests that efforts would be made to extend the support to them in due course.

Mr Samuel Frimpong expressed gratitude to the MP for the donation and assured him that the bunk beds would be put to good use.

He also appealed to the MP to support the provision of adequate boarding facilities, explaining that some students were occupying classroom blocks due to a lack of suitable accommodation and needed to be relocated to appropriate residential facilities.

The donation forms part of efforts to improve school accommodation and promote student welfare, while highlighting the need for sustained investment in infrastructure to support senior high and technical education.
