The Kpandai District Assembly is one of the 261 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in Ghana, and forms part of the 16 MMDAs in the Northern Region.  

Kpandai District was carved out of the East Gonja Municipal on 29th of February 2008 by an Act of Parliament through a Legislative Instrument 1885. It has Kpandai as its administrative capital.

A district that will be one of the best in the country where there is development in peace, unity and indeed adequate provision of security for all.

MISSION:

The Kpandai District Assembly exists to improve the livelihood of the people through the provision of socioeconomic infrastructure in an equitable and just manner.
