Kwahu Afram Plains North: Donkorkrom Islamic School To Get Modern KG Block

The Kwahu Afram Plains North District Assembly has handed over a project site to a contractor for the construction of a modern Kindergarten (KG) block at the Donkorkrom Islamic School.

The site was officially handed over on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Kate Mawusi Babanawo.

The project has a contractual completion period of six months. However, the contractor has assured the Assembly of completing the facility ahead of schedule and handing it over to the school by the early part of the second term of the 2026/2027 academic year.

According to the DCE, the project is intended to provide a safe, conducive and child-friendly learning environment for pupils while contributing to the improvement of early childhood education in the district.

During the site handover ceremony, Hon. Babanawo charged the contractor to ensure quality workmanship, adhere strictly to the project specifications and complete the facility within the agreed timeframe.

She said the Assembly remains committed to improving educational infrastructure across the district and creating better learning conditions for children.

Hon. Babanawo expressed appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for his continued support and commitment to education and development in the Kwahu Afram Plains North District
