The award winners are Madam Theresa Naadu Tawiah of Manhean TMA Primary B, who was adjudged Best Primary School Teacher; Mr. Ezekiel Gamey of Community 8 Number Three JHS, who emerged Best JHS Teacher; and Mr. Hammond Agyen of Manhean Anglican D Primary, who placed first runner-up in the Most Outstanding Teacher category.

The Directorate described the achievement as historic, noting that it was the first time three teachers from the same district had received such recognition at the Ghana Teacher Prize Awards.

In a congratulatory message, Mrs. Christiana Ablakwa, Supervising and Monitoring Officer, and Ms. Ekua Attah Obimpeh, Esq., Public Relations Officer of the Tema Metro Education Directorate, said the achievement had filled members of the Directorate with “joy, gratitude and thanksgiving to God Almighty” for His faithfulness and goodness.

They said the feat represented another significant milestone for the Directorate, which had continued to distinguish itself at the Ghana Teacher Prize Awards for three consecutive years.

The Directorate attributed the success to the dedication and commitment of teachers, effective supervision, teamwork and a collective determination to promote excellence in education.

It expressed appreciation to the Metro Director, management, officers, headteachers and all teachers for their contributions, encouragement, commitment and hard work towards the achievement.

“Every effort, sacrifice and support contributed to this success. Together, we have demonstrated that excellence is achievable when we work with unity, purpose and determination,” the statement said.

The Directorate congratulated the three award winners for making the Tema Metro Education Directorate proud and serving as an inspiration to other teachers to strive for excellence and greater achievements.

It expressed hope that the recognition would further strengthen the Directorate's collective efforts to improve education and achieve greater heights in the years ahead.
