The facility would provide services such as OPD, maternity deliveries, wellness clinic, weighing among others.

Madam Jennifer Dede Adjabeng, the Municipal Chief Executive for La Nkwantanang Madina Municipal, in an address commended the chiefs and people of the area for allocating the piece of land for the project which came at no cost to the assembly.

She expressed gratitude to the parliamentary candidate for the area, Mr. Robert Lamptey for his financial intervention in the project.

She maintained that the provision of social amenities was a shared responsibility of all and urged the people to ensure maintenance of the facility.

Madam Adjabeng said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government was committed to providing quality healthcare services for all, adding “This commitment brought into being the crafting of the Agenda 111 initiative which sought to build hospitals across the 16 regions of which our municipality is a proud beneficiary.”

Touching on the upcoming elections, she appealed to the people to vote for the sitting government for continuity in development.

According to her, there were enough evidence of the giant development strides embarked upon by the government in the area and the country at large, and pleaded with the chiefs and people to give their endorsement to the presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and the parliamentary candidate, Mr. Robert Lamptey of the NPP.

“We should reward governments for their good deeds and equally hold them accountable while in office,” she stated.

Dr Mrs Priscilla Anima Poku, the La Nkwantanang Madina Municipal Health Director, said the facility had come at an appropriate time to serve the needs of the resident of Oyarifa because there were only CHPS Zones that were scattered around the area.

She commended the assembly for the numerous developmental initiatives in the area of healthcare delivery such as the Agenda 111, Madina Polyclinic, adolescent health centre, medical facilities, among others.

She gave the assurance that with the ample land space around the facility would be expanded into a Polyclinic in future.

Mr Lamptey on his part has come at the right time to meet the growing health needs of the residents and appealed to the people, particularly the nearby residents to collectively maintain it in their own small ways to prolong its lifespan.

He urged women in the area to access the services of the ongoing health screening being organised by his team to know their health status while appealing to the people to vote massively for Dr Bawuamia and himself to enable them to bring more development initiatives to the area.
