It is being undertaken by Mr. Kwame Agbodza, Member of Parliament for Adaklu in collaboration with former President John Mahama.

Mr. Jerry Ameko, Adaklu Constituency chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) disclosed this at a brief engagement he had with the traditional authorities and driver unions at Adaklu Waya.

He said the poor nature of roads in the district was affecting businesses, transporting of goods and services and therefore needed urgent attention.

Mr. Ameko noted that it was also causing damage to vehicles plying the roads.

He stated that "most workers are also refusing postings to the district due to the deplorable nature of our roads."

The Chairman enumerated a catalogue of projects undertaken by Mr. Agbodza, including classroom blocks, community centres, health centres, and nurses and teachers’ bungalows.

He commended the MP and former President Mahama for taking it upon themselves to reshape the roads.

Mr. Ameko told the gathering that the New Patriotic Party led government had collapsed many businesses, including banks, therefore, aggravating the unemployment situation in the country.

"Youth unemployment has shot up to about 14.7 per cent, including the youth of Adaklu," he stated.

He called on the people to vote massively for the NDC to help bring it back to power to enable it to assuage the suffering of the masses and restore the dignity of the ordinary Ghanaian.

Togbe Amanfu, Zikpuitor (Stool Father) of Adaklu Waya thanked Mr. Mahama and Mr. Agbodza "for coming to the rescue of the people."

He also commended the NDC government under the late Prof. John Evans Atta Mills for giving Adaklu a district status which he said paved the way for a number of development projects.

Mr. Ben Misrowoda, Dutor of Adaklu Waya lamented the poor nature of the Adaklu Waya - Adaklu Torda and Adaklu Waya - Mafi Kumase roads and appealed to Mr. Mahama to taarr those roads when he came back to power.

Mr. Emma Asilevi, Chairman of Adaklu Waya Drivers Union, appealed for the rebuilding of the bridge over River Tordzie on the Adaklu Waya - Adaklu Kpodzi road.
