The symbolic gesture sent waves of joy through students and staff alike, as the DCE reconnected with his roots in a powerful show of humility and leadership. Many described the moment as deeply motivating, proving that greatness can rise from familiar classrooms.
Beyond the emotional visit, Hon. Dordoe backed his inspiration with action. He pledged 3,000 blocks towards the fencing of the school and donated GHS 20,000 (equivalent to Two Hundred Million old cedis) to support the procurement of additional desks for students. The intervention is expected to improve security and enhance the teaching and learning environment at the school.
Observers say the gesture reflects a leader who understands the value of staying connected to the youth and investing directly in their future.
The visit has also sparked broader calls for youth engagement across the district. Community voices are encouraging the DCE and other leaders, including Hon. Amartey George, to extend similar inspirational outreach to young people across Akuse, Natriku, and Osudoku — particularly through initiatives that connect with youth at the grassroots level.
Residents believe that when leadership draws closer to the young, hope for the future becomes stronger and more tangible.
With this symbolic yet impactful act, Hon. Ignatius Dordoe has reminded many that leadership is not only about policy — it is also about presence, inspiration, and meaningful investment in the next generation.
