Kpone-Katamanso Assembly Empowers Persons with Disabilities with Livelihood Support and Business Equipment
The Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly has reinforced its commitment to inclusive development by distributing a wide range of equipment, tools and support items to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) across the municipality.

The intervention forms part of the Assembly's efforts to promote economic empowerment, self-reliance and improved living standards for persons with disabilities through targeted support under its social protection programmes.
Beneficiaries received various vocational tools, household appliances and business support equipment tailored to their individual needs and economic activities. The items are expected to help recipients establish new businesses, expand existing enterprises and generate sustainable sources of income.
The Assembly noted that the initiative is aimed at equipping persons with disabilities with the resources needed to become economically independent and actively contribute to the socio-economic development of their communities.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, officials emphasized the importance of empowering vulnerable groups and ensuring that persons with disabilities have equal access to opportunities that enhance their livelihoods and well-being.
The beneficiaries were encouraged to make effective use of the equipment provided in order to maximize the impact of the intervention and improve their economic prospects.
