The support package included deep freezers, fridges, knitting machines, fufu machines, ice chests, plastic chairs, mattresses, a laptop, and other essential business equipment to enable beneficiaries to establish or expand their income-generating activities.

In addition, 41 beneficiaries received cash support to assist them with their various businesses and livelihood activities.

This initiative demonstrates the Assembly’s commitment to ensuring that persons with disabilities are not left behind in the development process. By providing practical resources and financial assistance, the programme seeks to create opportunities for beneficiaries to become economically active, self-reliant, and better positioned to contribute meaningfully to their families and communities.

I sincerely appreciate the Disability Fund Management Committee, chaired by Rev. S. K. Ampofo, for their dedication, commitment, and hard work in ensuring the successful implementation of the programme.

I also extend my appreciation to all stakeholders, partners, invited guests, and officials whose contributions and support helped make the programme a success.

To all beneficiaries, I encourage you to put the items and financial support to good use, invest wisely, and work diligently to grow your businesses and improve your livelihoods.

The Government remains committed to promoting inclusion, empowerment, dignity, and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities, not only in West Akim but across Ghana.

Together, we can build a society where everyone has the opportunity to participate, prosper, and contribute to national development.
