As part of this effort, he has distributed 3,500 mono desks to basic schools across the municipality, an important move to enhance teaching and learning conditions.
In addition, 137 youths have benefited from a comprehensive skills empowerment package, which includes 105 industrial sewing machines, 30 hairdryers, and professional makeup lights to support their training and future careers.
The beneficiaries are undergoing structured apprenticeship programmes in fields such as fashion design, hairdressing, carpentry, fabrication, and electrical installation.
This initiative goes beyond training by ensuring sustainability, as participants will receive startup tools after successfully completing NVTI-supervised examinations, enabling them to transition into self-employment and entrepreneurship.
More than just the distribution of equipment, this intervention represents a strategic investment in the future of the youth. It is a deliberate effort to reduce unemployment, promote self-reliance, and stimulate local economic growth within Asokore Mampong.
It also underscores the strong collaboration between the office of the Member of Parliament and the Municipal Assembly, demonstrating that meaningful development can be achieved when leadership works together with a shared vision.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Ben Abdallah Alhassan, expressed his sincere gratitude to H.E. John Dramani Mahama for his continued inspiration and commitment to pro-poor policies, as well as to the MP for his unwavering dedication to the people of Asawase and beyond.
