200 beneficiaries of Ghana Productive Safety Net Project receive cash

Over 200 beneficiaries from five communities, Nketia Akura, Premuase, Dadetoklo, Kajaji, and Deiffour) in the Sene East District have received the first tranche of cash grants totaling GHC 400,000 from the Ghana Productive Safety Net Project.

These funds will support income-generating activities such as piggery, beekeeping, groundnut processing, fish processing, soap making etc.

At the event the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sene East Mr. Samson Gboluen encouraged beneficiaries to manage their finances well, expand their businesses, and create local employment to reduce unemployment and poverty in the Sene East District.

He added that the government remains committed to improving the livelihoods of the poor and vulnerable through the implementation of pro-poor interventions.
