The project financed by Emmanuel Agyemang Badu of Principle Millennium Enterprise was constructed under a Build, Operate and Transfer (B. O. T) arrangement.

The DCE said the community has long been yearning for a place of convenience for that reason the government started to construct one as it was appropriate for a community like Krobo to have toilet facility; adding that other areas were also earmarked for such amenities including Afrancho, Hemang and three more communities in the district.

However, prolonged legal tussle ensued prompting the project to be halted which became a source of concern to the Assembly and the Krobo inhabitants.

Mr. Adu-Poku stated that following constant pressure from the Assembly member, Philip Antwi, and with no end in sight of the court issue, the Assembly decided to find other alternatives to rectify the appalling situation.

He said the situation compelled him to consult and sought the assistance of some stakeholders to construct the ultra-modern toilet facility as the one being commissioned.

The DCE therefore urged the community leaders to ensure the culture of maintaining the facility is instituted to prolong the lifespan of the facility.
