The implementation of the District Road Improvement program has been a saviour in this regard as the Assembly is keenly tackling a number of roads making them motorable, thus improving movements of goods and services.

Speaking at the second Town Hall meeting of the year held at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, at Abokobi, the Municipal Chief Executive, Madam Deborah Ampofo announced that so far 9 electoral areas have been covered adding that the exercise will continue into next year.

She admitted that the effects of the exercise are being massively felt in the communities as it has brought great relief to residents and road users.

Citing example of the impacts of the DRIP program, she announced that the Academic City section of the ECOWAS road has been worked on and opened to traffic after over a decade of non-action.

The Assembly also allayed fears of communities that suffer flooding on regular basis and assured that a number of drainage works and culverts would be tackled come next year to ensure smooth flow of water especially when it rains.
