The initiative aims to enhance mobility and address long-standing concerns from constituents about poor road infrastructure.
The project has seen the reshaping of the Kasseh-Amlakpo, Ada Foah-Azizanya, and Totimekorpe Ocansekorpey roads.
Ms. Norteye's efforts were prompted by her extensive community engagements during which she assessed needs and concerns through door-to-door visits.
She emphasised that these interactions helped her understand the situation on the ground and to prioritise community requests.
Sharing a personal experience with the Ghana News Agency, she recounted how she encountered a woman in labour being transported to the clinic by a motorbike due to poor road conditions.
"I couldn't imagine going through that ordeal myself; I asked myself what would happen if I hadn't encountered them. It's a whole different level of suffering" she said.
Ms. Nortey disclosed that she had lobbied for the construction of the road, adding however that in the meantime she collaborated with a contractor friend to reshape some of the major roads in the area.
"We're reshaping roads, graveling where needed, and addressing community requests as necessary" she assured.
Nene Tetteh Angernu Ahuordin I, the Chief of Amlakpo, expressed gratitude for the reshaping and appealed for it to be tarred, adding that farmers face lots of challenges transporting produce from the communities to markets, a concern shared by almost all communities in Ada.
