At a brief ceremony held at the school premises, Yinkah underscored the government's commitment to promoting a healthy learning environment. He explained that good sanitation remains a key requirement for quality education, noting that “students learn better when they feel safe, comfortable, and healthy.” He encouraged the school authorities and students to take good care of the facility to ensure its long-term usefulness.

The DCE also expressed sincere appreciation to the PTA Executives for assisting him to complete the facility, describing their

contribution as a demonstration of responsible partnership between the school community and the Assembly.

The facility, which comes with modern fittings, handwashing points and proper waste disposal systems, is expected to reduce open defecation and congestion in existing washrooms on campus. According to the DCE, the intervention is part of a broader programme by the Assembly aimed at supporting critical social infrastructure across the education sector.

The Headmaster of Kukuom Agric SHS, Mr. Osei Antwi Robert on behalf of the staff and students, expressed deep appreciation to the Assembly for the timely support. He described the project as a relief to the school, especially at a time of increasing student population and pressure on existing facilities. He pledged that the school management will institute proper maintenance schedules to keep the facility in good condition.

Some students who witnessed the ceremony also expressed excitement, noting that the new washroom will promote cleanliness, dignity, and convenience on campus.

The event was attended by officials from the District Assembly, school management, staff, student leaders and community representatives.

The commissioning of the facility adds to the list of completed sanitation and education-related projects under the current administration in the Asunafo South District. Yinkah reaffirmed that the Assembly will continue to channel resources into projects that directly improve living and learning conditions within schools and communities.
