Kintampo South DCE tours BECE Centres, encourages candidates
Mr. Wilfred Zuuri, the District Chief Executive (DCE), together with the District Director of Education, MR. Daniel Yaw Appiah visited all six Basic Education Certificate Examination centres in the district to encourage the candidates.

At all the centres visited, the DCE encourage the candidates to give off their best for this examination was not different from what they have been writing for the past years. He also advised the candidates not to engage in any examination malpractices so as not face consequences such as cancelation of their papers.
Mr. Wilfred also promised the candidates that the best performing candidates will get full support from the Member of Parliament for Kintampo South Hon. Felicia Adjie and the assembly as well and assured them of government’s commitment to improve upon education in the country. During an interaction with the candidates, the DCE encouraged the candidates to be focus and confident throughout the period.
The DCE donated Mathematical sets to all 1573 candidates to support their efforts on behalf of Hon. Felicia Adjie Member of parliament for Kintampo South.
Mr. Daniel Yaw Adjie, the District Director of Education revealed that a total of 1573 candidates were registered. Total number of males 782 and 791 females, they were drawn from 62 schools within the district. The school comprises 58 public schools and 4 private schools.
The district director noted few concerns, including few cases absenteeism, teenage pregnancy and some nesting mothers among the candidates.
He was however hopeful for outstanding performance this year.
