In a brief statement, the DCE said education is the first key on her list of priorities, hence the reason she is focusing on the basic amenities that will make school going children feel comfortable in the District.
She described as unfortunate how school children still sit on the floor to write, saying the dual desks for schools will go a long way to support the school children.
The DCE said since she assumed office she has embarked on many projects in Education, Health & Sanitation, Agriculture and Community development to make the District a first class district in the country.
The DCE was accompanied by the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency Mr Andrews Chiwitey Dari and a host of Assembly members.
Receiving the desks, the District Director of Education, Madam Abiba Abubakari Soale, expressed her profound gratitude to the DCE for the kind gesture.
According to her, desks will go a long way to support in making teaching and learning easy.
