The commendation came after an inspection tour of some of the project sites at the district capital by the DCE accompanied by the Chiefs and others.
Mr. Adu Poku had earlier engaged the traditional leaders at the Kodie Chief's Palace to outline a number of key achievements by the District Assembly since his appointment as the DCE seven and a half years ago.
He said the government has invested heavily in road construction, water supply systems and electricity distribution networks pointing out that the infrastructural projects, apart from improving connectivity, stimulate economic growth and enhance the overall quality of the lives of the citizens.
He issued a 2-week ultimatum to market traders to occupy their stalls in the new market and in default, they would be re- allocated to potential traders.
Mr. Adu Poku urged the public to desist from all acts of violence before, during and after the December election in order to protect the peace enjoyed under the dispensation of democracy in the country and further called on Ghanaians to remain steadfast in their communication with others.
The Chief of Kodie, Nana Yaw Barimah Peprah II expressed concerns over the location of gas filling station within the residential area of Kodie and the numerous containers spread alongside the major road of the district capital which should be removed to pave way for the beautification of Kodie. Nana Asamoah Boadu, Chief of Kotokuom disclosed that the visit to the project sites has confirmed the success work of the DCE, the Assembly and the government and called on the government to make it a priority by establishing a Senior High School at Kodie to befit its status as the district capital.
