The new facility replaces a Temporary structure formerly an abandoned pigsty, which had been used as a classroom for the students. The previous structure was reportedly in poor condition, with a leaking roof, wooden stands serving as chalkboards, and inadequate furniture.

The poor state of the facility often disrupted teaching and learning, with school activities sometimes ending prematurely whenever it rained.

The official commissioning and handover of the new classroom block were led by the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Offinso North, Caesar Ofosu Acheampong, together with the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene.

In an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the District Chief Executive, Caesar Ofosu Acheampong, said discovering students learning in a former pigsty during the 2024 campaign period was deeply concerning and prompted the administration to take immediate action after assuming office.

The DCE said the project was undertaken to provide the students with a suitable environment for teaching and learning.

Meanwhile, the Ashanti Regional Minister expressed optimism about further development in Bosomponso and reaffirmed the government's commitment to addressing other pressing needs in the community.

Among the issues identified are the connection of Bosomponso to the national electricity grid and the improvement of the community's road network.

The commissioning of the classroom block marks a significant improvement in the educational infrastructure available to students in Bosomponso
