St. Francis of Assisi jhs NCCE Pru West constitution game quiz

The Pru West District Directorate of National Commission for Civic Education NCCE in the Bono East region has organized a game quiz competition for basic schools in the district as part of activities to commemorate Ghana’s 68 th independence anniversary.

Nine junior high schools namely: Prang D/A No1, Prang D/A No2, Failiya, Dan Nufawa, English &ampx; Arabic, Battor D/A, Abua D/A, Madratul Istianiyya Tankowiyya and ST Francis of Assisi took part in the competition.

Welcoming participants, Mr. Frank Dzakpasu the district director of the Commission called for an increased collaboration between schools and the Commission in order to make pupils and teachers alike aware of their civic rights and responsibilities.

He urged them to take civic education seriously and make time to read the constitution regularly adding that the game quiz which aims at getting pupils to learn whiles having fun is in line with the Commission’s theme for the year ‘Ghana’s future: Our collective responsibility’.

The Pru West district director of Education Mr. Felix Neetege Fataah commended the Commission for organizing the event and asked for more of such educative programmes in order to offer students the opportunity to broaden their scope.

St Francis of Assisi R/C JHS emerged winners of the competition and was presented with books, pens and other learning materials.
