The Assembly emphasized that sustainable development can only be achieved through collaboration and continuous engagement among government departments, traditional authorities, community groups, civil society organisations, and residents.

The call was made by the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Isaac Kwame Ellimah, during a sectoral review meeting held in the municipality.

Mr. Ellimah stressed that stakeholder participation was critical to aligning the activities and programmes of various institutions with the Assembly's development priorities. He noted that the review meetings provided a valuable platform for departments to assess their performance, share achievements and challenges, and identify practical solutions to emerging issues.

He further explained that active stakeholder involvement in Assembly meetings strengthens decision-making and enhances the monitoring of development projects, thereby promoting efficiency, transparency, and accountability.

Heads of various departments presented reports on activities undertaken during the review period and outlined their plans for the months ahead. They highlighted achievements in community outreach, improved service delivery, and routine supervision, while identifying areas requiring additional support to improve operational efficiency.

Representatives from the Health, Education, Environmental Health, and Security sectors also briefed participants on key initiatives being implemented within their respective departments.

The Municipal Health Directorate outlined ongoing interventions aimed at improving public health, sanitation, and access to basic healthcare services. It also underscored the importance of working closely with community leaders to encourage greater participation in health campaigns and adherence to preventive measures.

Officials from the Municipal Education Directorate updated the meeting on academic activities and programmes designed to enhance teaching and learning in schools. They identified absenteeism and inadequate learning resources as key challenges, stressing that stronger stakeholder collaboration would help address these issues.

The Environmental Health Department highlighted measures to improve waste management and environmental sanitation, including intensified public education on proper waste disposal practices. It noted that sustained community involvement remains essential to maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

Meanwhile, the Security Services briefed the meeting on efforts to maintain peace and security through strengthened community policing and prompt responses to public concerns. They noted that a peaceful and secure environment is fundamental to the successful implementation of development projects across the municipality.
