The items were presented at the Assembly’s premises and received by the Municipal Education Director, Dr. William Komla Tsekpo, on behalf of beneficiary schools.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso East Constituency, Hon. Baba Jamal, described the donation as a fulfillment of the government’s commitment to improving school infrastructure and eliminating the use of old and dilapidated furniture in classrooms.

He stressed the importance of ensuring fair distribution of the furniture to both public and private schools, noting that parents whose children attend private schools also contribute to national development through taxation.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Abdul Ganiyu Ibrahim, assured stakeholders that the intervention was part of broader efforts to improve education in the municipality. He indicated that more support would be provided to schools and pupils, including private educational institutions.

The Ayawaso East Municipal Education Directorate expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Education, the Member of Parliament, and the MCE for their continued support, adding that the new furniture would contribute to a more conducive teaching and learning environment and improve educational outcomes in the municipality.
