Chief Executive (DCE) of the District, Madam Veronica Alele Heming, who was speaking at a brief ceremony couldn’t hide her joy after acquiring the dual desks for the schools.

She recounted how she laid on her belly to write from Primary 1 to 3 while at Sonyo primary school many years ago, a situation she doesn’t want the current generation of students to go through.

“Today is a happy day to the Bole District Assembly and the Ghana Education Service in Bole as we were lucky to get some funds to purchase about 1,734 dual desks for schools in the Bole District of the Savannah Region”, she stated.

She disclosed that the Bole District Assembly earlier purchased about 2,000 dual desks to help schools.

She added that the Assembly will do more to help improve on the quality of education in the district.
On his part, the Bole Director of Education, Mr Sulemana Yahaya on behalf of Ghana Education Service thanked the DCE and the Bole District Assembly for the support.

He also confirmed that the desks will be put into proper use. Meanwhile, funding of the 1, 734 dual desks were obtained from the District Assembly Assessment Tool (DPAT).
