Peace, Security and Justice

The municipal has established a Police Station at Dambai with detached Units at Tokuroano and Katanga. The police personnel maintain law and order in the various communities. There are also efforts to establish a district court. Tndeed the court building is already completed but there is yet to be a resident magistrate to sit on cases |in the District.

To complement the efforts of the police in maintaining law and order, the District receives the services of mobile military personnel occasionally from the detachment at Ivete-Kuachi. The major security problems in the District include the ^activities of Fulani Herdsmen, leadership problems in terms of the multi ethnic nature of the District’s population which lack clear or established structures or hierarchy
