Mission

The Hohoe Municipal Assembly exists to improve the living standards of the people by mobilizing fiscal material and Human Resources for establishing the municipality as the leading tourism and rice production centre in Ghana and commercial hub in the Volta Region.

Vision

Our vision is to be the most well managed and development focused municipal Assembly in Ghana.

Hohoe Municipality, situated in the centre of the Volta Region, with Hohoe as its capital, was created in 1979. The total area of the district is about 1,172sqkm The Republic of Togo borders the district to the east, while to the west is Kpando District. On to the north-west is Jasikan District and to the south is Ho Municipal. The Municipal houses part of the Akwapim-Togo ranges extending beyond the country’s eastern boundary all the way to Western Nigeria.
