Judiciary And Security

The district has no law court to adjudicate both civil and criminal cases. Serious criminal cases are often referred to the Law court in Wa, the regional capital. Thus far, the traditional authorities in the district still play an important role in ensuring justice. There also exist the Commission of Human Rights and Administrative Justice, which also arbitrate in civil cases.

The Police Service plays an important role in ensuring good governance. There is only one Police Station in the District providing the security needs of the population of the district.
