Cultural Heritage and Customs

There are four main religions groups in the Berekum Municipality.  They are Christians which is the most predominant sector with 95 per cent, followed by Muslims 2.7 per cent, traditional 1.4 per cent and lastly others (which will include Buddhism, Hindus etc.) being 0.5 percent. The dominant ethnic group in the Berekum Municipality is the Brong which constitute 90 percent of the total population.
