Security and Judiciary

The Municipal Capital was in 2006 elevated to a Divisional headquarters with oversight responsibilities in security in two other districts of Asunafo South and Asutifi South. Apart from the divisional Command, there is also a Police District Headquarters at Goaso and five other Police Stations at Akrodie,Ayomso, Mim,  Kasapin and Asumura.

There is also a well-resourced Municipal Security Committee in place to combat all security threats. Perhaps the security situation in the municipality has remained calm over the years because of the proactiveness of the Security Council.

The Municipality has two courts made up of one Circuit Court and District Magistrate court which adjudicates both criminal and civil cases in the Municipality. These courts facilitate the promotion of justice and the democratic dispensation.
