Agotime-Ziope District Assembly Distributes Relief to Flood Victims, Reaffirms Commitment to Recovery
The Agotime-Ziope District Assembly has distributed relief items to families affected by the recent floods that devastated several communities across the district, bringing much-needed assistance to hundreds of victims.

The flooding affected 270 households, with a total of 1,020 people directly impacted. The relief exercise forms part of the Assembly's ongoing efforts to provide immediate humanitarian support while helping affected families begin the process of recovery and rebuilding.
The Assembly expressed profound appreciation to the Volta Caucus in Parliament, led by Emmanuel Bedzrah, and the Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza, for their generous contributions towards the relief intervention.
The Assembly also commended World Vision Ghana for its continued partnership in supporting vulnerable communities. Special recognition was given to the Member of Parliament for the Agotime-Ziope Constituency, Charles Agbeve, whose donation of GH¢50,000 significantly contributed to the procurement of relief items for flood victims.
As part of the exercise, the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) provided free renewals of National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) memberships for affected residents, ensuring uninterrupted access to essential healthcare services.
The Assembly further acknowledged the dedication of the Volta Regional NADMO Coordinator, Mr. Pascal Agbagba, and the Agotime-Ziope District NADMO Coordinator, Mr. Courage Agba, for their effective leadership and coordination throughout the relief operation.
Reaffirming its commitment to the welfare of residents, the Agotime-Ziope District Assembly pledged to continue collaborating with government institutions, development partners, humanitarian organisations, and community stakeholders to strengthen resilience, restore livelihoods, and ensure that every affected family receives the support needed to recover from the disaster.
The Assembly expressed optimism that through collective effort and partnership, the district will rebuild stronger and more resilient in the aftermath of the floods.
