The MCE said the commissioning forms part of efforts by the Municipal Assembly to improve essential social amenities and enhance the well-being of residents across the municipality.

Mr. Aidoo indicated that the Ohenenkwanta CHPS Compound is expected to improve access to basic healthcare services for residents, bringing healthcare delivery closer to communities and reducing the challenges associated with travelling long distances to access medical care adding that the mechanised borehole is expected to provide residents with improved access to potable water for domestic use, while the toilet facility at Odumasi Newtown is intended to promote proper sanitation and hygiene.

The Konongo Habitat Health project was also among the facilities commissioned as part of the Assembly’s development efforts.
