The VRA delegation, led by Principal Community Relations Officer Madam Rhodda Arthur, and accompanied by consultants, met with the District Chief Executive to discuss plans for the proposed project, which will focus on wind power generation in three communities within the district.
According to feasibility studies conducted in 2012 and 2013, the project is expected to generate up to 75 megawatts of electricity upon completion, contributing significantly to Ghana's renewable energy capacity and supporting sustainable development in the area.
During the meeting, the District Chief Executive commended the VRA team for its continued partnership with the Anloga District Assembly and its commitment to promoting development through renewable energy initiatives.
The DCE also assured the engineers and consultants of the Assembly's full cooperation and support to ensure the successful implementation of the project, expressing optimism that the initiative would create economic opportunities, enhance energy security, and drive development across the district.
