Machinery began grading and compacting roads around the Atomic Gateway Hotel and Latter Rain Assemblies of God areas on Monday, marking the resumption of the municipal-wide initiative.

Assembly Member for Dome West, Ebenezer Kwao, expressed his appreciation to the Municipal Chief Executive, Edmund Agboh, for prioritizing several deteriorated roads in his constituency.

“This exercise will cover Atomic Gateway Road, Royal Avenue Street, Latter Rain Assemblies of God, the Evergreen area, Police Container, Light TV area, Dome Ayigbe Town, Kasea Valley area, CFC down, and the DVLA area roads,” he stated, outlining the scope of the current phase.

Municipal DRIP Coordinator, Mr. Seth Agboyie, expressed gratitude for the programme's progress to date. “We thank God for a successful exercise in the Municipality so far,” he said, assuring residents that DRIP operations will reach every electoral area. The work is being conducted under the technical guidance of Municipal Roads Engineer, Daniel Kofi Okyere.

The current road reshaping works in Dome West are scheduled to continue through Sunday, January 18, 2026. Residents in the affected areas are advised to plan for possible travel delays and exercise caution around active construction sites.

The DRIP initiative aims to systematically upgrade and reshape local roads across the Ga East Municipality.
