In a statement issued on Wednesday, Hon. Ayamwego expressed profound gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama, Assembly Members, and residents for the confidence reposed in him following his confirmation on April 23, 2025.

“I am deeply humbled and grateful to you and His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for this uncommon favour,” he stated.

The DCE also acknowledged the unwavering support of the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Ebenezer Ndebilla Alumire, as well as party executives, traditional leaders, Assembly Members, and residents, commending them for their continuous support, prayers, and commitment to accountability.

“Bawku West belongs to all of us,” he emphasized.

Highlighting achievements within the past year, Hon. Ayamwego disclosed that a total of 12 development projects have been initiated in collaboration with the Member of Parliament, following sod-cutting ceremonies held on November 24, 2025, and April 13, 2026.

Out of the 12 projects, seven have been successfully completed and commissioned as of April 8, 2026, while five are currently ongoing.

Completed projects include the construction of classroom blocks at Adonsi Primary School and Timonde Junior High School, a maternity block at Gbantongo Health Centre, and an Out-Patient Department (OPD) block at Googo Health Centre. Additional interventions include the drilling of 30 boreholes across the district and the renovation of the Agric Office, as well as official bungalows for the DCE and the Department of Community Development in Zebilla.

Ongoing projects include classroom blocks at Zabzoaga Junior High School, Narigu Primary School, and Ziboko Primary School, a CHPS compound at Tonde, and the construction of a slaughterhouse at Zebilla.

“These projects are not my achievements alone; they are the result of teamwork and collaboration with our MP, Hon. Ebenezer Ndebilla Alumire, as well as your patience and prayers,” the DCE noted.

Looking ahead, Hon. Ayamwego described his first year as a foundation phase, indicating that the next phase of his administration will focus on completing ongoing projects and intensifying development efforts in key sectors such as rural electrification and road infrastructure.

He further reaffirmed his commitment to transparency and accountability, assuring residents of an open-door policy and a responsive leadership approach aimed at addressing the needs of the people.
