The assurance was given during a tour of the community as part of the MP’s engagement with residents. Mr. Yakubu expressed deep concern about the deteriorated state of the school infrastructure, particularly the Junior High School (JHS) block, describing it as a serious safety risk to both pupils and teachers.
He assured the community that work on improved classroom blocks would commence this year, emphasizing that the government led by President Mahama is a listening administration committed to fulfilling promises made to the people.
The MP further appealed to residents to remain patient as efforts are underway to address other pressing challenges in the community, including poor road networks, inadequate lighting systems, and other essential needs aimed at improving their overall well-being.
Mr. Mohammed Yakubu also revealed plans to provide teachers’ bungalows to support educators posted to the area and help resolve accommodation challenges, which often affect effective teaching.
The District Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano South East, Mr. Ibrahim Yamba Nelson Issaka, on his part, urged residents to continue supporting the Mahama-led administration, noting that the government is committed to bringing development to the constituency.
He also encouraged the people to play their part by paying their taxes, explaining that many development projects are funded through revenue generated from taxpayers.
